I have known Crystal for almost a decade, and I have always known her to be kind, witty and beyond stunning, however I have never seen her as happy as she is with her soon-to-be husband Paolo.  Together, they are a couple with an infectious laugh and happiness, the kind of people you just want to be around.  I am so happy that you each found your forever, and I know your June wedding will be nothing less than perfection.

Elizabeth and Bret married in November and it couldn’t have turned out to be a more beautiful winter day.  They married at the beautiful Assumption church and after heading over to the Trump/Wrigley area to get some pretty evening portraits.  They have so much fun together and make each other smile, which is something that can be attributed to knowing each other for a long time.  They grow up in the same neighborhood, but work took Elizabeth family out of the country and also away from Bret.  Years later they reconnected and the rest is history, now they are best friends, soul mates and partners for life.

How I adore Ashley and Jeff!  Ashley is the type of gal that you want to be best friends with, she is beautiful, kind and witty and Jeff is truly her perfect match.  I don’t think these two would be able to go five minutes with out making the other one laugh.  A smile is always on their face, a smile that is completely infectious.  Their love for their families and each other is completely endearing.  Jeff and Ashley wed at Trump where we focused on getting some lovely photos around the property.  The reception room was beautiful and when toast came around, laughter from all filled the room; laughter and joy was truly the theme of this celebration!

This wedding was filled with farm tables, red converse and a choreographed Thriller dance…..need I say more?!?  I knew from the beginning that I was going to love Katie and Tim because we shared the same wedding date, October 26th (just separated by one year) Katie and Tim are one of the sweetest couples that I have ever worked and they had a cool and unique wedding style.  They currently live in Seattle but Katie is originally from Chicago while Tim is from Canada and met while attending college.  We shot Katie and Tim’s engagement session in Seattle and Tim was rocking some incredible kicks, so I expected no less on the wedding day.  They got married in October and incorporated so many unique and delightful details into their Cultural Center Wedding.  I have photographed many weddings at the CCC in the past and I have never seen it decorated this way.  Farm tables lined the room and autumn flowers and lanterns filled the tables.  One of the best parts of the entire evening was the surprise choreographed Thrilled dance put on by a group of guests.  Apparently Tim does the Thrilled dance at all of his friends weddings and they all wanted to work together to pay him back.

Oh my!  I don’t even know where to start with this fabulous country meets city affair.  Cathy and Michael were both attending Norte Dame, which is where they fell in love. They both had a passion for country music, so wanted to make sure country themes were brought into their wedding style.  There were so many incredible personal touches in their wedding, from the mason jar specialty cocktail, blue grass band, outdoor rocking chair and hay barrel lounge seating to name a few.  They also had eight different styles of chairs and plates and check out their sweet rustic wedding cake.

There were so many thoughtful surprises through out the celebration, for example Cathy’s sister and boyfriend sang with the blue grass band for the bride and grooms first dance.  The mother of the bride also had a surprise slideshow, which she accompanied by singing on of Cathy’s favorite Dixie Chicks songs.  The bride and groom still wanted to incorporate some classic Chicago elements and hosted their reception at Chicago History Museum as well as took some stunning skyline photos at Olive Park.  Country + City Perfection!
